A well-established and fast-growing MEP contractor is seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join their Project Division in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate tender documentation for commercial viability, technical risk and competitiveness
• Interpret client requirements and fully understand project scope and specifications
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, plant and equipment
• Issue and manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, ensuring timely return of quotations
• Maintain up-to-date labour rates and prime cost data within estimating systems
• Compile and prepare comprehensive tender submission packages for senior management approval
• Liaise with procurement and supply chain partners to secure competitive pricing
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations for compliance, scope completeness and commercial value
• Prepare project preliminaries aligned with programme, logistics and project-specific requirements
• Collaborate with commercial teams to finalise competitive bid submissions
• Support post-tender clarifications and feedback processes
• Conduct site visits and surveys, incorporating findings into tender strategies

Requirements & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ mechanical estimating experience within the Irish construction market
• Strong knowledge of the Irish supply chain and local consultant landscape
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop tender submissions valued at €3M - €5M+
• Trade background, Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering qualification desirable
• Experience within data centre and/or design & build environments highly advantageous
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office suite
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, detail-focused approach
