This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established business known for its collaborative culture, strong pipeline of work, and commitment to quality, safety and innovation.

THE ROLE

You will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, supporting the successful delivery of tenders and ensuring accurate, competitive pricing across a range of mechanical projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing and compiling tenders from drawings, specifications and scope documents
• Quantifying materials, labour and plant requirements
• Producing detailed cost estimates and reports
• Reviewing and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Negotiating pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
• Developing procurement schedules
• Managing tender queries and preparing tender reports
• Supporting client presentations and handover to delivery teams
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

ABOUT YOU

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience in a Mechanical Estimator role (M&E projects)
• Experience working in Ireland or the UK is advantageous
• Strong understanding of piping, isometrics and P&IDs
• Proven experience taking tenders from pricing through to award
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (FileMaker Pro an advantage)
• Strong communication, organisation and time management skills
