About the Opportunity


A global contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) is expanding operations at one of its French manufacturing sites following the award of multiple new customer contracts. As production volumes increase significantly, the organisation is strengthening leadership across supply chain, warehousing, and production planning to support continued growth.


Role Overview


The Supply Chain Director is responsible for end-to-end management and strategic oversight of material flow, inventory, and production planning across the manufacturing site. This role owns goods in, warehousing, inventory control, production planning, and goods out, ensuring compliant, efficient, and scalable operations aligned with business growth.


Key Responsibilities:


Supply Chain & Materials Management (Goods In)

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all goods-in activities in compliance with cGMP and GDP requirements.
  • Ensure reliable material availability through supplier performance management, forecasting, and supply scheduling.
  • Partner closely with procurement to align demand planning, supplier capacity, and inventory strategy.
  • Own data accuracy and integrity across ERP and MRP systems.


Warehousing & Inventory Control

  • Direct warehouse operations including material storage, handling, and issuance to production.
  • Establish and maintain compliant inventory management practices.
  • Oversee cycle count programmes and discrepancy investigations.
  • Drive improvements in inventory accuracy and material flow efficiency.


Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Own site-level production planning and scheduling across daily, weekly, and long-term horizons.
  • Align plans with material availability, capacity, labour, and quality timelines.
  • Monitor work in progress and adjust plans proactively.


Goods Out & Logistics

  • Oversee finished goods dispatch with full traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage logistics partners to achieve on-time, in-full delivery.


Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Own supply chain and production planning KPIs and dashboards.
  • Analyse trends, support audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
  • Senior leadership experience within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong people leadership capability, ERP and MRP expertise, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Fluency in French & English
