Electrical Estimator | MEP Contractor | Dublin

We’re partnered with a well-established and fast-growing MEP contractor delivering large-scale MEP packages across data centres, healthcare, government, education and commercial sectors throughout Ireland and Europe.

Due to continued growth within their Project Division, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their Dublin-based team and play a key role in securing high-value, technically challenging projects.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of electrical tenders from initial review through to final submission, working closely with commercial, procurement and delivery teams to ensure competitive and commercially robust bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing tender documentation to identify electrical scope, risks and commercial considerations
• Interpreting drawings, specifications and schedules for accurate take-offs
• Preparing detailed quantity take-offs across LV/MV systems, containment, lighting, power, fire alarm and specialist systems
• Building up labour, materials, plant and equipment pricing
• Issuing and analysing subcontractor and supplier enquiries
• Preparing preliminaries in line with programme, logistics and project constraints
• Consolidating estimates with the commercial team for final submission
• Supporting post-tender clarifications, value engineering and feedback reviews
• Conducting site visits and surveys where required

We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ electrical estimating experience within large-scale construction, industrial or MEP environments
• Strong understanding of labour build-ups, productivity allowances and material pricing
• Experience pricing complex electrical packages across commercial, infrastructure or data centre projects
• Ability to assess commercial risk and protect margin while maintaining competitiveness
• Trade, Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying background desirable
• Strong Excel capability and structured approach to tender management
