A leading Irish M&E contractor is seeking experienced Senior Estimators to join its growing pre-construction team. Opportunities are available for both Mechanical and Electrical Estimators to support the delivery of major projects across Ireland and Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects within the Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Industrial, Commercial and Advanced Manufacturing sectors.

The Role

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders and supporting project acquisition from initial enquiry through to contract award.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse tender documentation, specifications and drawings.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Complete quantity take-offs and pricing exercises.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify commercial and technical risks within tender submissions.
• Participate in value engineering and cost optimisation exercises.
• Liaise with design, commercial and operational teams throughout the bid process.
• Attend tender review meetings and client presentations where required.
• Support handover of successful projects to delivery teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Estimating role within the construction sector.
• Experience pricing MEP packages on medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, procurement and commercial processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
• Degree or trade qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
