Responsibilities:
- Quality Management System Implementation:
- To assist in the continual improvement and maintenance of the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
- Project Quality Oversight:
- To advise, and when necessary, assist site-based project management teams to meet or exceed all client expectations and specifications and relevant construction standards.
- To conduct monthly internal Quality & Environmental Audits of projects to identify opportunities for improvement and score projects for compliance with the requirements of company IMS procedures.
- To work closely with project teams to identify potential quality and environmental issues, conduct root cause analyses and develop and oversee the implementation of effective corrective actions.
- To assist site management teams in the preparation of Quality Control documentation, e.g. Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Inductions, etc.
- To promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of [2] years of experience in quality management within the construction industry.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or an equivalent professional qualification in a related field would be preferred.
- An ISO 9001 internal auditor’s qualification
- A Professional certification in quality management (e.g. MCQI, IRCA) would be desirable and any successful candidate without this will be encouraged and assisted to achieve a professional charter at the earliest opportunity.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards 9001, 14001, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
