Data Centre Commissioning Manager (Hyperscale)
Location: Remote / Europe-wide (London base preferred)

The Role
We are acting on behalf of a leading Hyperscale Developer. We are seeking an elite Commissioning Manager to lead teams and oversee the critical delivery phases of massive-scale data centre campuses across Europe. You will act as the technical authority on commissioning standards, ensuring seamless handover from construction to operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage internal engineering teams and external consultants to deliver high-pressure projects on schedule.
• Strategy Ownership: Lead the development and implementation of the commissioning programme (Levels 1–5) for hyperscale projects.
• IST Management: Take full ownership of Integrated Systems Testing (IST), ensuring 100% uptime capability before go-live.
• Vendor Management: Direct and audit General Contractors and Commissioning Agents to ensure strict adherence to technical specifications.
• M&E Oversight: Provide technical expertise on complex Mechanical and Electrical systems (HV/LV distribution, chillers, AHUs, BMS).
Requirements
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ specific Data Centre experience.
• CxA Background: Previous experience working within a specialist Commissioning Agent (CxA) firm is highly preferred.
• Leadership: Proven capability in building and leading high-performing cross-functional teams in a construction environment.
• Hyperscale Knowledge: Proven track record delivering projects >20MW; experience with hyperscale/colocation operators is essential.
• Education: Degree qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent time-served experience).
• Travel: Flexible to travel frequently to project sites across Europe.
