Project & Cost Manager | Construction Consultancy | Madrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project & Cost Manager to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy delivering complex, high-profile projects across Europe.

Operating for over two decades, this consultancy has built a strong reputation for providing client-side project and cost management services. The business partners closely with major global occupiers and developers to deliver projects across data centres, industrial, logistics, commercial and mixed-use developments.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly on behalf of a global, blue-chip end client, supporting multiple projects within a large and fast-moving international portfolio.

The Role

As Project & Cost Manager, you will act as a trusted client-side representative, taking responsibility for the coordination, commercial management and successful delivery of multiple projects.

You will work closely with internal specialists, external consultants and contractors, providing leadership across cost, programme, risk and delivery, while operating within the governance and standards of a major international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as client-side Project & Cost Manager, representing the client’s interests.
• Manage projects from early feasibility through design, procurement, construction and handover.
• Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, estimates, forecasts and cashflows.
• Lead procurement strategies, tendering processes and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor programme, cost, risk and change, providing structured reporting and clear recommendations.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support value engineering, risk mitigation and commercial optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure projects align with the client’s governance, reporting and delivery standards.
• Prepare regular client reports covering cost, programme, risk and overall project performance.

About You

• 5+ years’ experience in project and cost management in a construction consultancy.
• Demonstrable experience working client-side, acting as an extension of the end client’s team.
• Comfortable managing both project delivery and commercial performance, not cost in isolation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate within complex corporate environments.
• Experience working on large-scale, multi-project portfolios or for global clients is highly advantageous.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
