Are you an ambitious construction professional looking to advance your career in the booming data centre sector? We are seeking a site-based Assistant Construction Manager to play a pivotal role in our clients growing delivery team.

The Role: Working alongside senior leadership on high-specification projects, you will bridge the gap between technical teams and project delivery. Your focus will be the precise coordination of MEP and general construction activities, ensuring quality and efficiency on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily site operations and coordination of subcontractors across MEP and general trades.
• Support the Construction Manager in maintaining safety, quality, and programme objectives.
• Attend client meetings, provide updates, and support issue resolution and reporting.
• Track and manage progress of MEP installations and ensure technical compliance.
• Review method statements, RAMS, and ensure adherence to HSE policies.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and documentation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience working in a construction role on data centre, mission-critical, or complex MEP-heavy projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, BMS).
• Confident in a client-facing environment with clear communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple site activities.
• HNC/HND or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
